There are few traditional rituals that still existing in Jepara, there are:
# "Lomban", the beach-ritual in Jepara of 'Thanksgiving to God" by drawn the foods to the sea.
# "Sadekah Bumi", thanksgiving to the earth's god by sacrificing buffalo at each village.
# "Obor-oboran", fire dance ritual in Tegal-sambi village by fire torch and fire-balls.

Kartini Beach at center town, Bandengan-beach and -Keling beach - Benteng Portugis.
The Traditional New Year Festival Bokdho Kupat.
A thanksgiving to sea-gooddess ceremonial as traditional believing from fishermen or beach-peoples
upon the gifts from sea, especially the fishes during running year. And hope that coming year the sea will keep give them fishes and other sea products.
By present and send specific tradisional rice "Kupat" and "Lepet". Head of Buffalo, cakes"Jajanan-Pasar",fruits, fragants flowers, Drawn it away to the sea.
The Regent, Priests Ulama, and Eldest "Sesepuh" of Jepara must attending there.
Some Jeparanese also bring some the Kupat and Lepet and present it to the sea-shore, drawn it.
They will praying and make a wishing, also will keep some Kupat and Lepet with them and bring it back-home and hang it at House-doors, Cars, Carriage, Motorbike, etc in a believe that it will bring a blessing of luck and fortune, avoid bad-luck and evil-things.
The Festival will have traditional music Gamelan, Javanese dance of tari Gambyong Langen, And Wayang Kulit the shadow of Maha Bharata puppets.
